About

Nikki Valencia is an evidence consultant with 10+ years of experience in crime scene investigation and evidence room management. She is currently employed with the Weatherford Police Department as an Evidence Technician overseeing all operations in the Property and Evidence Section. Nikki is a Certified Evidence Specialist (CPES) with the International Association for Property and Evidence (IAPE) and Director of Membership for the Executive Board of the Oklahoma Association of Property and Evidence (OKAPE). With a bachelor’s degree in both criminal forensics and psychology alongside an associate’s degree in political science, she’s skilled and passionate about helping law enforcement agencies operate more efficiently and strengthen security practices.

Her consulting services begin with an initial assessment of your evidence management unit and help to identify the strengths and weaknesses to improve the overall health of your organization. She has developed policy and standard operating procedures, trained officers in proper packaging and documentation of evidence as well as helping agencies utilize limited storage space. More importantly, she is committed to empowering evidence custodians by training and encouraging their role as a major component in law enforcement. She understands that strict security measures ensure a tight chain of custody.

Aside from her passion for law enforcement, Nikki will tell you that her greatest

accomplishment is her family. A longtime resident of Oklahoma, she’s been married to her husband for 32+ years and is a mother of 4 amazing kids. Her favorite pass time is crocheting, cross stitching and diamond painting while hanging out with her dogs.
